Larry Williams

 

Larry Williams fought the great Hall of Famers Jack Dillon, Tommy Gibbons and Harry Greb. His boxing career spanned aproximately 1911-1922. After his career as a boxer Larry became a boxing trainer. He then went into the movie business in the 1920's before he apparently disappeared without a trace into Mexico.

Williams boxed tough fighters of the time including Bill Brennan and Billy Miske. Both of these fighters became famous for fighting Jack Dempsey. Larry Williams was a sparring partner for Jack Dempsey while Jack was getting ready in 1921 to defend his title against Georges Carpentier on July 2nd of that year. Below is a cartoon about this.
