Johnny Howard

Johnny Howard was a middleweight contender out of Bayonne, New Jersey. Fought many top fighters including: Al McCoy, Mike Gibbons, Jack Dillon, George Chip, Billy Miske, Battling Levinsky, Harry Greb and others. His nickname was the "fighting cop of Bayonne".

This photo is dated March 1, 1915 which was just a few days after Howard fought Jack Dillon in a 10 round no decision bout in Brooklyn.
