Jack Fink "The Fighting Marine"
Jack Fink was from Philadlphia. He started boxing when he was a marine serving in the Navy. When Jack saw a future career in boxing he declined a reenlistment. It was written in the Pittsburgh Press that Jack Fink is "one of the most clever middleweights in the eastern section of the state. He is fast on his feet and has a left jab".
Jack Fink had a real tough battle against Buck Crouse on April 8, 1912. They had a fight scheduled previously, but Buck Crouse cancelled the engagement due to an illness. When they finally did fight, Jack recieved $250 for his troubles. In the dressing room before the fight a man in charge told him to give it his all everyround or he wouldn't get paid. Jack ended up losing this specific fight by knockout. Jack was knocked out for 3 minutes with blood coming from his mouth and nose.
