George "KO" Brown

George "KO" Brown fought many of the great Hall of Famers during his time such as Jack Dillon, Les Darcy, Harry Greb, Mike Gibbons, Tommy Gibbons. Brown spent part of 1915 and 1916 in Sydney Australia where he fought legendary Les Darcy twice in 20 round bouts.

Brown never got an opportunity to fight for a championship title, but did get the chance to fight the greats of his time.

George "KO" Brown's real name was Georga Contas. George "KO" Brown should NOT be confused with "KO" Brown who fought Abe Attell (real name Valentine Braun), or "KO" Brown who fought Maxie Rosenbloom (real name Bobby Brown). This can be confusing because the record books will sometimes print "KO" Brown and it's hard to tell which one it is.
