Ed "KO" Smith
Ed "KO" Smith was a heavyweight whose hometown was Neodesha, Kansas. He fought the famous Harry Greb and Young Stribling. One of his fights took place in Madison Square Garden. He married Bertha Smith and had four children (three daughters and one son). One of the daughters names was Nadine. He and his wife eventually divorced and in later years he lived around Joplin Missouri, and the Treese Kansas area. During his senior years he was the Sherrif of Treese, Kansas.
According to a Knotts Berry Farm boxing display, Smith had 112 proffesional fights including 98 wins (88 by knockout), with 14 losses.
