Eddie McGoorty

Eddie McGoorty fought many of the great Hall of Famers during his time such as Jack Dillon, Battling Levinsky, Mike Gibbons, Harry Greb, and Les Darcy.

McGoorty won the Wisconsin State Amateur title when only 15. A pro for 11 years, he was kayoed in Australia by Les Darcy in 15 rounds on July 31, 1915.

McGoorty fought for the world middleweight championship title twice in 1913 against Frank Klaus. On both occasions he was unable to capture the title.

Eddie passed away on November 2, 1929 at the early age of 40.
